Season Summary 2015-16
There was a new champion in the OVPL this year: Arnprior! Jeff Graves’ team from up the Valley won all their matches this season, taking over the top spot in the League.
Again this year, every event had two full teams on hand to shoot the match. Nine inter-club matches were scheduled, including three outdoor shoots this spring. All the matches were contested on the range – there were no defaults.
Each club is welcoming new shooters (and a few returning participants) to their matches. That’s a trend we’d all like to see continue. All the teams have room for expansion.
Sadly, the League lost one of its ‘grandfathers’ in June. E.W. (Red) Doolittle passed away during a spring fishing trip. More than being one of the founders of the OVPL, Red led the League to success for more than 50 years. Arnprior and the OVPL will miss his influence.
