OVPL Results 2014-15

Ottawa Valley Pistol League 2014-15

A few changes were introduced to the League for 2014-15. Some clubs found their members’ interests shifting to other disciplines or events. To retain adequate team sizes for the matches, the eligibility rule was changed. A club could invite any interested person to shoot with their team. Club membership was no longer a requirement for OVPL purposes.

Upon mutual consent, this was applied publically in two instances:

Eastern Ontario’s entry was bolstered by the addition of shooters from the former teams from Smiths Falls, and

NCRRA boosted its pool of available people by adding one shooter from each of the
clubs from Arnprior and the RA in Ottawa.

This year, every event had two full teams on hand to contest the match. Scheduling changes reduced the number of matches, but each one was fired – there were no defaults.

Arnprior had a new Team Captain this year. Jeff Graves was not only the top individual this year, but he agreed to represent his club to the League.

Team Matches Wins Losses Points
RAGC 5 5 0 12
Arnprior 5 3 2 8
NCRRA 3 0 3 6
EOSC-SF 3 0 3 6

With the teams scheduled for a different number of matches, the standings are based on the number of losses.
All teams begin the season with a perfect record of 12 points.
Ties are broken first by considering the matches between the teams that are tied. See the RULES.
